Launched through legislation passed in 2024, HB 1361 created a new statewide initiative focused on boosting achievement in reading and math for K–5 public school students called the Florida Tutoring Advantage (FTA). The program is supported by state appropriations and administered by the University of Florida’s Lastinger Center, the program empowers districts and schools to launch or expand high-impact tutoring—whether in-person, virtual, or through approved digital tools.
